Incredible visuals! It's absolutely stunning that the team was able to churn out such quantity and quality within the jam duration. Sheesh, reading this for free feels like I got away with robbery. Really enjoyed how the plot gave us the full context/story in such an effective fashion. Setups, flashbacks, etc. The m usic, word choice, UI (omg I loved the textbox!!!), it all came together really nicely to create that wild west feel. I was so invested and that final (literal) cliff hanger had me at the edge of my seat. Minor issues with some grammar and timing (auto would go too quickly on the ellipses, but manually sometimes I wasn't exactly sure if a scene was over yet or not). But overall great job!
Wow this VN genuinely surprised me in the best way. From the moment I started it I could tell it was going to be something special. Even though it’s short I got really attached to the story and characters which I honestly didn’t expect. You completely nailed the late 1800s to early 1900s Southern outlaw aesthetic. The music, backgrounds, character sprites, and dialogue all work so well together and make the world feel real and immersive. I especially loved how the fight scenes were shown like comic panels. That was such a cool and unique choice and I’ve never seen another VN do that before. What really stood out to me was how you handled heavy topics like racism, suicide, abandonment, and trauma. None of it felt rushed or forced just to create tension. It felt real and it made me connect to the characters on a much deeper level than I thought I would. The way racism was portrayed in particular hit hard and felt honest. Javi is a great main character who feels easy to connect with without being a blank slate and Nate is such an interesting contrast to him being an old outlaw compared to Javi who is a young guy trying to chase freedom. Their dynamic works incredibly well and it made me fully invested in their relationship and where the story was going. I did find the time skips a little confusing at first but after rereading they actually added a lot of depth to the story. My favorite scene was the flashback after Javi sees Nate again when it cuts to Javi’s torture. Hearing Javi scream for Nate even though he never shows up was heartbreaking. Learning that Nate actually returned and was watching the whole time but was too scared to step in made the scene even more tragic and painful. The emotional moments hit really hard and the payoff at the end was beautiful and genuinely moving. For such a short VN I loved every second of it. I’m really excited to see anything you make in the future. I have also already recommended this to all my friends because I would hate to see your passion and work go unnoticed.
This story has been fully released. There may be some updates in the future to correct some grammar and modify a few lines, but the story itself for these characters is done for now.
Yeehaw for the gay western!
Phenomenally put together, although it’s almost to be expected with a team like that.
The story sticks to its genre (I say, not knowing too much about it), with a gay twist. But while it wasn’t too surprising, it was really well paced, the characters were very good and simply reading it was fun.
The visual part is great. Even the unfinished CGs were good. The animations were a surprise! The UI is really cool too. Hard to imagine it being much better.^^
Not much to say about the audio part: it works.
I think this is my favourite Novembuck so far. My only complaint is that having that many talented people in a team makes the rest of us look bad! (just kidding)
This is a nice Western story with a satisfying end. That title theme was awesome and I liked the animated cutscenes. I will say though, I do wish the VN did a bit more to explore Javi and Nate's relationship. I get that this is a jam game and it's going to be short, but I feel like a few more scenes between the two that show their developing relationship would be beneficial.
Although the presentation is solid, I would recommend darkening the text box more. There were times were the text felt a little hard to read.
Congrats on releasing your first VN! That is a huge accomplishment and you should be proud of yourself. I look forward to seeing what you do in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to read through our VN! Glad you enjoyed it! I will definitely be updating the text box in the next update to make the text easier to read.
I did have a montage like scene in mind showcasing more of Javi and Nate's relationship but some of those ideas had to be cut back due to time. Not opposed to bringing those scenes back for the future when we have more time!

Any plans for Android release?
Yeah, we have plans to eventually release one
I just read it using JoiPlay in my Android tablet.
Loved the story.
ah yes, the classic queer content, the doomed yaoi cowboys
Gay cowboys near a river.
What's the worst that can happen, besides checking each others load?
(Joke comment)
Please continue. There needs to be more.

Came for the man ass, stayed for the feels.
